KEJRIWAL MAKES OFFICIAL DECISION TO TAKE ON MODI, HOLDS A ROAD SHOW.

On Tuesday, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal made official his decision to take on Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha from the holy city and invited the BJP's PM candidate for a debate.
BJP supporters shown protest against kejriwal by throwing ink and eggs on him.He asked aloud at a rally if he should fight elections from Varanasi. The crowd responded in a roaring "yes", Kejriwal  said he was ready to accept the challenge.

On Tuesday, the BJP fielded actor turned politician Vinod khanna from gurdaspur Lok Sabha constituency in Punjab.
Actor Vinod Khanna joined the BJP in 1997 and contested LS polls in 1998,1999 and 2004 winning all three times from Gurdaspur. He lost to Bajwa of Congress in 2009 by a thin margin.

ACTOR FAROOQ SHEIKH DEAD

On December 27,2013, Veteran actor Farooq Sheikh , 65, died late on night due to heart attack in Dubai.
He was only 65 years old. After completing the formalities in Dubai, his dead body was brought to Mumbai later. Farooq Sheikh was best known for his films during the 1970s and 1980s.


RONALDINHO GOT AWARDED

In the annual poll conducted by the Uruguayan daily El Pais, Ronaldinho got the South American footballer of the year. Ronaldinho  is a Brazilian football player. Ronaldinho was akey member of the Brazilian team that won the 2002 World Cup.He also won FIFA World player of the year in 2004.

CBI MAY FILE 1ST CHARGESHEET IN COALGATE,AFTER 16 FIRs.

More than one and half year after the first FIR in the coal scam probe,the CBI is ready to file its 1st chargesheet on monday.
After CBI missed its March 3rd deadline,last week, the CBI had sought four more weeks to complete the probe in six cases. In total, the CBI has filed 16 FIRs in the coal scam.
The SC will take up as the interplayer between the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) and the CBI.

'GOD OF CRICKET' SAYS GOODBYE

Legendary Cricket Star Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar says goodbye to the international cricket after playing his 200th and final test match on November 16 at Wankhede Stadium against West Indies, scoring 74 runs, ending his 24 years old carrier of cricket.
Sachin's catch was caught by Darren Sammy on a ball by Narsingh Deonarine.
Indian Cricket Team won the test match by innings and 126 runs to seal the series 2-0, presenting Sachin Tendulkar with a perfect farewell gift. Sachin is also the world's highest run scorer in test matches- 15,921 as well as in ODI's- 18,426.

He was quickly tackled by AAP workers and the cops took him to police station . Yadav never listened to him and took this incident in his stride . He said " I m Proud to be an AAP Worker " .

WITH GSLV-D5, INDIA JOINS CRYO CLUB

The Indian Space Research Organisaton (ISRO) on 5th January has successfully launched the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle-D5 (GSLV-D5) carrying 198 kg communication satellite GSAT-14, from Srihari Kota, Andhra Pradesh and placing it in orbit at an apogee of 36,000 kms above earth. D5 stands for the 5th development flight.
The GSLV is a 3-stage engine rocket. Its first stage is fired with solid fuel, the second stage with liquid fuel and the third is the cryogenic engine. With this GSLV-D5, India joined the "cryo club".

MEN HOLLOW BEATEN BY WOMEN VOTERS

With Female voters outnumbering men in 16 of 20 states that have gone to polls since 2010, Women may be the deciding factor in this summer's general elections.
The Election Commission (EC) data says that the gap between male and female voters decreased from 16.7% to 4.4% in 2009.
Rather than the men more women voted in two Key poll States - UP and Bihar - that account for 120 Lok Sabha seats. The 2012 UP assembly elections saw 60.5% women voting as compared to 58% men.

IMPHAL: Three sets of physics questions papers of the ongoing class 12. CBSE were reportedly leaked and were sold at the rate of Rs.3000-5000 prior to examination day in Manipur on Wednesday. Depending upon the gravity of the leak there's a possibility of a re-examination that could either be in the north-east region or pan INDIA. They are trying to find out whether the papers in circulation were genuine said by the Board officials in Delhi.

IN QATAR, WORLD CUP NOT TO BE PLAYED DURING SUMMERS.


The FIFA, the organising body of World Soccer has announced that the World Cup of Soccer will not be played in summer months in Qatar in 2022.
The dates of the WC will not be in June or July said by FIFA secretary general Jerome Valcke in Paris.
He also added that the dates could be between Nov 15 and Jan 15  2022.

IN 40 YEARS, PUNJAB MAY GET FIRST GOVERNMENT MEDICAL COLLEGE.


Punjab is likely to get a new government medical college, its fourth in SAS Nagar after four decades.The last college was opened in 1973.The punjab government had sent a proposal to the union ministry of health and family welfare for upgrading the SAS Nagar district Hospital to medical college.
There are 10 medical colleges in the state, out of which only three are  run by the government: the GMCS at Amritsar and Patiala and Guru Gobind Singh medical college of faridkot.

THE SC SENT SAHARA GROUP CHAIRMAN SUBRATA ROY TO CUSTODY ON TUESDAY.

As the sahara chief Subrata Roy failed to comply with SC order to refund Rs. 20,000 crore to its investors was sent to judicial custody with two of his directors on tuesday. The 65 year old Roy and Sahara directors Ram Shanker Dubey and Ashok Roy Choudhary was ordered judicial custody by a bench justice KS Radhakrishnan and justice JS Kehar till March 11 after they failed to submit a "concrete proposal" to  repay investors.
At around 8:20 pm the three were brought to the Capital Tihar jail.

The Election Commission has made this mandatory for all Lok Sabha  candidates to declare overseas bank accounts, investments and liablites. This move which EC think will help the I-T department to check evasions, is likely to have a limited impact, as those who stash black money in foreign banks typically don't hold accounts in their names or those of their close family.

CASES OF PSYCHIATRY ON THE RISE IN RAJINDRA HOSPITAL

PATIALA:The numbers of psychiatry patients in government Rajindra hospital has increased since last two years including alcohol and drug dependent patients.The numbers of psychiatry patients has doubled in 2013 as per the information.As per the data 21,847 psychiatry patients were treated in the hospital in 2013 while 12,596 visited the hospital in 2012.Most of the cases registered in the hospital are related to depression,alcoholism,adjustment disorder, drug addiction and bi-polar disorder.
Dr. Sidhu said that " people are now aware about their problem and are coming out to dicuss their problems with the doctors which is a good thing".

CUSTODY OF POLICE IS A PICNIC FOR ROY

LUCKNOW:A day after Subrata Roy was taken in police custody in Kukrail, local people were shut out from the popular picnic spot. No restrictions were imposed on family members, friends and well wishers to meet sahara chief.
Roy was given a single suite on the first floor of a forest guesthouse.The 65 years old Roy was allowed food and bedding from home.Currently the area is out of bounds for visitors with the police denying permission to local people.
Commoners were away due to the strict security but the vehicles carrying Sahara Q-shop mineral water bottles and eatables found their way inside the restricted area easily.

LUDHIANA/AMRITSAR: Various regions of the punjab was covered with snowfall on last saturday.Due to this snowfall again the temperature went down in the punjab.Due to the snowfall in the region the faces of the people got brighten.In ludhiana there was 4cm snowfall and 21.8mm rainfall.On the way of holy Amarnath there is a lot of snow due to which people are facing problems.In the various regions of punjab and haryana there was rainfall whole night.In the region the weather was cloudy and there's possibility of rainfall still in punjab and surrounding regions,

PEARLS GROUP MD WAS BOOKED BY CBI UNDER RS.45000 CRORE SCAM
CHANDIGARH: Pearls group MD Nirmal Singh Bhangoo who is one of major REAL ESTATE Businessman. He was the major sponsor of deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal led Kabbadi World Cup events. Two days ago CBI has booked him in a Rs.45000 crore scam for allegedly duping investors by promising agriculture land.
Bhangoo's two companies Pearls Agrotech Corporation Limited (PACL) and Pearls Golden Forest Limited(PGFL) and thier director Sukhdev Singh has been registered under the case of criminal conspiracy and cheating under Sections 120B and 420 of IPC.
On the orders of SC the casewas registered on Feb22, but the agency revealed the detials of the scam on Thursday.
