On Wednesday, Sc holds real estate barons Sushil and Gopal Ansal guilty of criminal negligence in the 1997. Uphaar Cinema fire which killed 59 people but left it be another bench to decide their punishment.
Both the brothers who owned the cinema, were more interestedin making money than ensuring the safety of the movie-goers.
On June 13, 1997, there was a DVB transformer kept in the basement of theatre in Green Park, South Delhi from which fire started during the screening of Hindi Film 'BORDER',
