EXTREME COLD WAVE REELED USA

The US Midwest and adjoining East and South eastern Canada is gripped by the coldest,most dangerous blast of polar air in decades-'polar vortex'.Causing very heavy widespread snow and deadly freezing conditions since the start of the year,temperature crashed down to-30 to-40 degree C, claiming several lives.
With thousands of flights canceled or delayed, Icy roads and strong blizzards created travel chaos.

SIDHU SAID TO BADAL THAT "PEOPLE KNOW WHO BACKSTABBED"

Mr. Navjot Singh Sidhu, three-time MP was denied the BJP ticket and was replaced by Jaitley apparently over his sour relations with the saffron's party partner SAD and a faction within the BJP. Navjot Singh Sidhu hit back the SAD by saying that "There is no need for crocodile tears; people know who backstabbed me".

KEJRIWAL MAKES OFFICIAL DECISION TO TAKE ON MODI, HOLDS A ROAD SHOW.

On Tuesday, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal made official his decision to take on Narendra Modi in the Lok Sabha from the holy city and invited the BJP's PM candidate for a debate.
BJP supporters shown protest against kejriwal by throwing ink and eggs on him.He asked aloud at a rally if he should fight elections from Varanasi. The crowd responded in a roaring "yes", Kejriwal  said he was ready to accept the challenge.

THE SC ASKS SRINIVASAN TO STEP DOWN IMMEDIATELY

On Tuesday, BCCI chief Srinivasan was asked to step down immediately by SC to ensure a fair probe into the fixing scandal that rocked IPL6, saying his clinging to the position was "nauseating".

BJP BRINGS VINOD KHANNA TO CHALLENGE BAJWA IN GURDASPUR.

On Tuesday, the BJP fielded actor turned politician Vinod khanna from gurdaspur Lok Sabha constituency in Punjab.
Actor Vinod Khanna joined the BJP in 1997 and contested LS polls in 1998,1999 and 2004 winning all three times from Gurdaspur. He lost to Bajwa of Congress in 2009 by a thin margin.
